4 Websites to Learn New Skills
Learning is never ending and lucky for us we have all these resources around us, thanks to the internet. If you want to try something new, you can just Google it and you’ll be able to find a video or a place that will provide the tools you need to begin. People are skipping on the college route because honestly do we need to go to college to be successful? Not at all. There are tons of websites that give you the help you need, all you have to do is sign up. Now to keep the knowledge you’ll have to practice it since after all, practice makes perfect.
Here I give you a list of 4 websites I believe are great for learning new skills and being able to adapt it into your own world. The possibilities are endless and the topics are great no matter what your interests are. Here we go:
Skillshare: Anyone can join this online community and you have the option to either take or teach a class. They cover almost every topic possible and they help you in any way that you may need. Whether that’s advancing in your career, learning a new skill, or just improving your life. Skillshare has over 3 million students and thousands of teachers all over the world in 100+ countries. You can’t go wrong and they’re free to join and offer a premium account for a monthly fee.
CreativeLive: These online classes are ideal for those who want to learn more about photography, art, design, craft, marketing, business, and entrepreneurship. They have over 10 million students and 700+ master creators that teach these classes. These aren’t ordinary people, they have grammy winners, authors, entrepreneurs, and international photographers that you may know and love. You’re learning from the experts themselves, what else can you want?
Udemy: Their goal is to connect students everywhere to the best instructors in the world anywhere. They serve 40 million students and have 50 thousand instructors, that teach 130 thousand courses. They also teach these classes in over 60+ languages which is pretty impressive. They have tons of topics to choose from business, health, lifestyle, marketing, personal development and more. They also let you take a personal learning recommendation quiz which is great if you don’t know where to start.
Lynda: If you want to learn about business, software technology, and creative skills, this is your stop. Lynda has been around for 20 years and has helped students, IT, projects managers, and design professionals. They are currently partnered with LinkedIn, which is a social site for professionals. They offer classes in 5 different languages and have package deals for those in business, school, or government organizations.
These websites are my recommendations but there are tons of websites out there that you can learn all kinds of new skills. Learning is forever so get to it.
