3 Websites to Share Your Projects

Creatives are always encouraged to share their projects in a platform where others can view. Most people like to call this a portfolio and it’s always asked for when applying to jobs or even receiving a new client. People want to see what you’re about and what past work you’ve done to see if it aligns with what they want. It’s ideal to have your own personal website but that isn’t always the first step, in fact I first started sharing my designs on Behance.

If you’re a creative and want to share your work but don’t want to create your own website or aren’t ready yet, here are 3 websites where you can share your projects and be able to network, for FREE! Let’s begin.

  1. Behance: This website is for any and all types of creatives. From graphic designers to interior designers, there really isn’t a limit on who can join this platform. The great thing about Behance is that they are part of the Adobe family and you can actually share your designs right away once you complete a design on any of the Adobe programs. It reminds me a lot of Pinterest since you can follow tags and you can also follow other creatives like yourself. There are also creative job post listings, which is great for people who don’t want to see a job posts for accounting.

  2. Dribble: This is similar to Behance and it’s more like a social media platform but for creatives. There is lots of exposure from other creatives that work in Google, Lyft, Apple, Shopify, DropBox, and more. This means people can reach out to you for a job or you can get inspired in what other teams and companies are doing and can see what they’re looking for. They also have job postings!

  3. Coroflot: Same concept as Behance and Dribble but it reminds me of Instagram without seeing the follower count. You’re basically just posting your projects up while people can follow you or “hire” (message) you. What makes them different is that they have a salary tab where you can view different salaries for creatives based off your town/city. This is great for those who aren’t sure what salary is appropriate based off your skills and also to know what to ask for.

These are my top 3 websites where you can share your projects without having the responsibility of getting a domain. There are other platforms where you can share your projects and get your own domains but that’ll be a post for next time.
