Hi, I’m Lisbania & I lived this first
I’ll be your Love & Identity Mentor. My love story starts back in January 2021 when I had just gotten out of a relationship the month before. I was heartbroken because I really wanted to get married & have a family, and as a 27 year old I thought I was running out of time, finding love & starting a family felt further away than ever.
I decided I was going to write a "my future husband" list & jot down every single detail of who he was, from his personality, values, what he wanted his future to look like & how he'd treat me. I filled a whole page front & back. (I got super specific 😉)
I told myself I wouldn't tolerate nonsense from men anymore but that year I ended up being bitter, cold & angry towards men instead. I treated them badly. I didn't take them seriously because in my head they didn't really want me, they just wanted to have fun & I was over it.
The whole year went by & on New Year's I just felt so empty. I also turned 28, so you know, Saturn return things, everything started to get clearer. I went back to look at my future husband list & noticed I was not taking this seriously.
So when January 2022 came along, I got down to business. All the guys I was "talking to" I cut them off before they even realized, literally on some "y'all don't even know I left y'all in 2021" LOL. Anyways, I did just that & I got intentional with my time, my peace, & the way I treated myself.
I noticed I wanted things from my future husband so I started giving them to myself, buying flowers at the grocery store, going on movie dates alone, walking to the coffee shop, doing more self care. I even took a solo trip in March to go near the water, booked a hotel & just prayed to God & listened to His words. He told me to just be happy & everything else will follow & I did.
Then my cousin got married that June. I was one of her bridesmaids & we went to a resort to celebrate. Me doing my own thing, I saw my husband during lunchtime standing right in front of me — and like in the movies, cue scene, I saw bright lights around him & heard what had to be angels singing "hallelujah, hallelujah." He didn't notice me at first & when he walked away I told my cousin "Oh my God, his name is just like my dad's, I want him to be my daddy." LOL, true story.
The next morning at breakfast I walked in & he noticed me & walked right up to me — and the rest is history.
But basicallyyyyy, we dated for 7 weeks, got engaged in 7 months, got married 1 year & 8 months later & now we have a baby girl. I am so blessed & grateful for the day he entered my life because he's been everything I've ever imagined & more.
